Whether it's broken or not, the truth on the ground is that we still live here. Lots of people live here. Lots of broken people. Lots of crazy people. Lots of people in love with broken and crazy people. But we carry on because we like to talk to strangers at the grocery store, and have a drink after 2 a.m. And evidently -- no matter what the New York Times or your concerned family members say -- you're still going to visit. Good for you. We need all the help we can get, even if it's in the form of a tip or a random smile. So let's find some good places to drink, all right?
