517 Frenchmen St. (Marigny) 7 Days: 10am to 3am. 504.942.1345. Credit Cards. Then there were tater tots -- the deep fried grated potato (cylinders?) that add a touch of cafeteria nostalgia to the menu at 13. The tater tots (smothered in cheese) are one of the many vegetarian options at this bar/grill that keeps the vegetarian at least half in mind. (Who wants to bet those tots have some sort of meat by-product in them? Anyway.) More bar than restaurant, 13's brightly lit space is not for dates or long leisurely meals. A middling jukebox bounces sound off the cement floors. A TV hangs over the dining space. And frequently the bartender is forced to double as waiter. It's best to go here with a bit of patience -- food can take its time coming out of the open kitchen, but it's always good. Service is friendly. One of our favorite places for late night drunk food. Video poker.
